The Lian Huan video features a form that emphasizes the basics.
This is often the first form I teach to my students actually. In order
to do this form correctly, you have to have proper stances.
The implementation of this form will make you realize how deeply
you understand basic stances. The form also has martial
applications: The simple but super quick and precise striking and
defensive movements can be utilized under a multitude of
circumstances.
The Tong Bei video features a very complicated but somewhat
short (and explosive) form that utilizes chin na in many, many
movements. This form involves the yin and yang of Shaolin:
the soft wind and water like fluidity of defense –both evasive
movements and chin na -- and the harsh and powerfully explosive
striking movements that are also a part of Shaolin Kung Fu.
The kicks performed in doing this form will also test your
martial prowess.

The Lohan Video features a form that is a favorite of my students.
Those students of mine that have already learned it, love it and those who
have yet to be taught it yearn for the day when I start teaching it to them.
Teachers intuitively know what is on the minds of students
Anyway, the Lohan Video shows what is a very aggressive form that
effectuates attacks and defense from both high and low positions.
Your physical conditioning and understanding of martial arts needs to
be quite high in order to do this form correctly.
The Zhao Yong video reveals to you many deceptive movements.
Once you gain a true understanding of this form and its implications,
the receiving end (your opponent) will have no idea
what is going on when you defend and attack. The
movements are like a snake and they are so
complicated and deceptive that your opponent
may actually think he is fighting two people rather
than one person or a person with four hands instead of
two! I am not exaggerating in my characterization of this.

Luohan Form & Zhao Young Form Video (NTSC)

The sandbags training video is quite useful since a true and complete
martial artist cannot ignore this component of training. Please note that
I am using the plural (sandbags) and not the singular (sandbag).
Hitting one heavy bag is good but why don’t you (eventually) challenge
yourself and use more than one in your serious training?
If you only do forms, you won’t know what it is like to defend yourself.
Even if you do forms and sparring and neglect using the sandbags
(heavy punching bags), you will not reach your full potential. The
movements and techniques I use to train by utilizing the bags can truly
benefit intermediate and advanced martial artists. By performing the
exercises and movements in this video, you enhance your speed and
reaction time.. This is not a tape for beginners.
